Notes: Brad is a native of Pierre, SD, and a graduate of Pierre T.F.
Riggs High School where he won two state titles his senior year (800 and the sprint medley relay), and holds school records
in the 800, 1600, and 3200.
Brad Lowery was a 6-time All-American while attending South Dakota State University. He was
named the co-North Central Conference Men's Indoor Track Outstanding Athlete of the Year by the league's coaches for the 2003-04
season. At the Indoor Track NCC Championships in February, Lowery claimed the mile and 3,000-meter titles. Furthermore, he
was named the NCC Outstanding Runner for the 2003 cross country season. Despite redshirting cross country in 2004, Brad returned
to the track in dominant fashion setting the indoor school record in the 3,000-meter run (8:05.04) and placing eighth in the
1,500-meter run at the USA Indoor Championships. He set the mile school record of 4:01.67 in 2004.
Brad finished out
his Cross Country eligibility in 2005 by competing at the USATF Fall Cross Country Championships in Rochester, NY. He placed
10th against a strong field of runners. Also, an outstanding student, Brad was a 2005 ESPN 2nd Team Academic All-American
in Physics. Brad joined the BSDP in January of 2006.
Brad started off his 2006 track season with an indoor 3,000 meter
personal best of 8:03.34 at the Husky Classic in Seattle Washington. Brad recently competed in the USATF Indoor Track and
Field Championships placing 15th in a deep field. Brad will focus on the 1,500 and 5,000 meters for outdoor track season.
Brad made his debut in the 10k at the Guidant race in August and posted 30:38 for 7th place.
Brad joined Team USA Minnesota in August 2006.
