1999 Cross-Country Season (Senior): 17th @ NCAA Championships to help team to 4th place finish

1998 Cross Country Season (Junior): Ran in four races, highlighted by a second place finish at the Nevada Invitational and sixth place at the Stanford Invitational ... Helped Stanford win the Pac-10 championship, where he finished 22nd.

1997 Cross Country Season (Sophomore): Competed at the 1997 Western Regional Championships to help Stanford remain undefeated and advance to the NCAA Championships ... Took first place honors at the Stanford Invitational.

1999 Track & Field Season (Senior): Enjoyed an outstanding season as Stanford's top 1,500 meter runner ... Qualified for the NCAA's with a time of 3:41.99 at the Cardinal Invitational ... His qualifying time shattered his previous best by more than five seconds ... Finished seventh in a deep field at the NCAA's to gain All-America honors, and helping Stanford finished second as a team ... Placed fourth at the conference meet in the 1,500 meters ... Also competed in the mile at the NCAA Indoors ... Ran 4:01.48 at the Cyclone Classic in Ames, IA ... Winner of the Alfred R. Masters Achievement Award for the athlete exhibiting academic and track achievement ... Also won the Frank Angell Spirit of Amateurism Award.

1998 Track & Field Season (Junior): Primarily a middle distance specialist, he earned All-America honors (indoors) on the Cardinal's distance medley relay team ... A finalist in the 1,500 at the Pac-10's.

1997 Track & Field Season (Sophomore): Competed in the 800 meters (1:50.94) and the 1,500 meters ... His time in the 800 meters qualified him for the Pac-10 Track & Field Championships, where he gained valuable experience.

1996 Track & Field Season (Freshman): As a freshman at the Pac-10 Track & Field Championships, ran a then career-best 1:50.86, good enough to score points for the Cardinal in a strong field ... Winner of the Jack Weiershauser Freshman Award.

High School: A four-sport varsity athlete ... Won the South Dakota state cross country, 1,600 and 800 meter titles his senior year, while concurrently playing football, basketball and baseball ... A top student-athlete at Rapid City Central High School.
